We are located in Paris, TX. We are just a small hobby kennel, showing and very sparsely breeding.
I came up with the name DIG from a wooden plaque I saw that said, and I am paraphrasing so as not to offend anyone Darn I'm Good. I liked that little saying and started using the acronym as I thought it very fitting, because what do dogs, and especially Siberian Huskies like to do? DIG!!
I got my first "show" dog in 1998 from Myla kennels. Her name is Aimee, but, at nine months she tested positive for cataracts, so she was spayed. But, she is still number 1 to me. I then proceeded to look for another bitch. I'm very partial to the grays with brown eyes. And I came upon Emily, aka Myla's Bird of Paradise. She currently has 3 points. She gets shown when I can get to a show that I think a judge will like her.
My next show dog I acquired is an import from South Africa, by Cheryl Deavall of Foxfire Kennels. His name is Legend, aka CH. Foxfire Urban Legend. He acquired his championship in Lubbock on Oct.1, 2005 under breeder/judge Jean Fournier. He was shown by David Williams when I couldn't get to shows, and he put 11 points on him. The last 5 I managed to put on him.
Emily and Legend have been bred twice, once was planned, the other was, well Legend thought it might be nice! The first litter was whelped 11-27-2004 and produced 2 red females, 1 red male, 2 black males and 1 grey male. Sadly, one of the red females died at 3 weeks due to megaesphogus. Two pups went to a home in Canada, 1 pup went to South Africa, and 1 pup went to Florida. I kept one and am waiting for him to grow up physically and mentally. The second litter was whelped 3-16-2006 and produced 1 copper red female, 1 lighter red female, 1 light red male, 1 black male and 1 grey female.
So, take a look around and I hope you enjoy my dogs.
